For years support for society and social involvement have been an integral part of the way we do business. Prelios encourages local potential and enhances social integration.   

Social Involvement

World Heritage List: Our Wohnstadt Carl Legien was added to the UNESCO list of World Heritage sites in 2008 as one of six housing estates built by the Berlin Modernists. This means that the housing estates, dating from the 1920s (Gartenstadt Falkenberg, Siedlung Schillerpark, Wohnstadt Carl Legien, Großsiedlung Siemensstadt, Hufeisensiedlung Britz and the Weiße Stadt) enjoy the same status as the Great Wall of China, Venice with its lagoons or Florence’s historic centre and, as a „cultural site worthy of permanent preservation“, enjoys special protection.

Social Engagement

Neighbourhood Development: Prelios Deutschland campaigns for the interests of children and young people and supports neighbourhood development. Among its activities, Prelios has for years supported work among children and youngsters in the Sahlkamp district of Hanover and community social work in the Mettenhof district of Kiel. Working together with the organisations on the spot, Prelios thus provides an important contribution to the local community and the social environment.

Club membership: Sports clubs represent a solidifying factor in any district. Prelios promotes the development of neighbourhoods and districts and has been supporting local sports clubs since the spring of 2010. For every new rental agreement concluded, the company contributes the cost of a year’s club membership in a local sports club for a child. Prelios is thus involved in Berlin, Magdeburg, Braunschweig, Hanover, Kiel and Lübeck, among others, in encouraging fresh membership of local sports clubs.
